Lanikai Beach
Lanikai Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach with aqua-blue water. It is my favorite location on Oahu for a sunrise proposal. This beach allows for privacy, and the sun rises on this side of the island. Aside from the beautiful beach you also get the Mokulua Islands in your background and the water is so calm.
Kualoa Regional Park
Without a doubt, if you are looking for grand mountain views, a Kualoa Reginal Park proposal is where you want to be. Furthermore to not be confused with Kualoa Ranch, which is directly across from the park. The lush green mountains are so vast, so finding a spot to get down on one knee is endless. Lastly, it is such an easy location to get to, because it’s a walk across the parking lot.
Makapu’u Beach & Lookout
Are you looking for more rocky terrain? The lookout has great views of the beautiful turquoise water and some cliffside action. Along with the lookout, Makapu’u Beach is just a drive away. The beach has some great beautiful cliff views and again the water. This location can be best for either sunrise or sunset (although the sun rises on this side).
Crouching Lion
First, if you love a good hike with some epic views of Oahu, this is for adventurous lovers. My number one recommendation is NOT to hike Crouching Lion without a local who knows the way. This is all due to safety reasons, and I don’t say this to scare anyone away. The upside to this hike is that it takes about 20 minutes for the first view, and then an additional 10 minutes for a vast space overlooking the beautiful, lush mountain Oahu offers. The water can be murky looking depending on the weather and lighting, but you can’t beat kneeling and proposing in Oahu with this dreamy view.
Paradise Cove Beach Beach in Ko’oolina
Paradise Cove Beach is located in Ko’olina next to the popular Paradise Cove Luau. This location has beautiful palm trees, rocks, and a shallow beach. Depending on the time of the day the water can go far out making some fun photos. During sunset, it is very golden, but more crowded. Most importantly, if you and your other half are a little more on the shy side, I would go for a sunrise proposal. Click here to see Johan + Maleni’s proposal.
